Obituary for Eleanor Mae Wilder
Eleanor Mae (Deyo) Wilder age 89 passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2020 with her family at her side. She was born May 21, 1930 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Sanford T. and Margaret A. Deyo. She worked in dairy bars, doctors offices, owned her own bookkeeping and tax business. She was very involved in the American Legion, Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, and Kent City Historical Society. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, water skiing, spending time at the cottage with family and friends, hiking, music, dancing, painting, and drawing. She enjoyed traveling and was proud of growing up in Sparta and Shelby. She enjoyed spending time with her family the most. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Russell Wilder; her son in law, Morrie Seites; nephew, Rob Stebbins. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Wilder, Karen Seites; her grandchildren; Heather and Chris Hettinger, Douglas Seites; brother, Sanford and Nancy Deyo; great grandchildren, John and Crystal Hettinger; special friends, John and Louie Afton; many nieces and nephews. As Eleanor had wished a private family funeral was held on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at the Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Ferris officiating. Interment in the Spring in Idlewild Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to a Charity of One’s Choice.
