Obituary For John L. Kriger

John L. Kriger age 97 went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 18, 2021 with his family at his side. He was born July 23, 1923 in Casnovia Township to Reuben and Jane (Flanegan) Kriger. He graduated from Kent City High School and went into a career in Machine Repair at the Kelvinator Plant in Grand Rapids and worked his way up to Maintenance Supervisor. He married Doris Maude Reister on June 9, 1945 at Trinity Lutheran Church and they went on to have 3 daughters. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Doris; his daughters, Marlene and Doug Martens, Diane and Rick Martens, Susan and Kenneth Anderson; grandchildren, Jason Martens, Steve and Holly Martens, Kevin and Amy Martens, Jennifer Miller and Nick Groom, Derek and Nikki Anderson, Aaron and Erica Knowlton; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2:00 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Conklin with Rev. Mark Oswald officiating. Interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in the Spring of 2021. Friends may meet the family at the church on Friday 1:00 P.M. until time of service at 2:00 P.M. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church.
