Obituary For Margaret Mary Feirick

Margaret Mary Feirick, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side, on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. She was born Margaret Mullen in Grand Rapids, Michigan on April 11, 1932 to Bernard and Theresa (Armock) Mullen. She graduated from Catholic Central High School. Margaret married Gerald Feirick in 1953 and they had 5 children before his early passing in 1969. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Margaret is survived and will be lovingly remembered, by her children, Ann (Ron) Nicewander, Gerald Feirick, Bernard Feirick, Ruth (Brian) Vachon and Paul (Laurie) Feirick; grandchildren, Jeremy (Tami) Nicewander, Marcy (James) O’Neill, Nicole Feirick, Tiphany (Roger) Krum, Jacob (Briana) Vachon and Maigen Feirick; 8 great grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters due in 2021; brother, Robert (Dorothy) Mullen; sisters, Alice Hansen, Bonnie Dame and Laura (Joe) Rupp; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Feirick; brother, Patrick Mullen; sisters, Marilyn Kiliszewski, Arlene Breen and Roseann Tornga and several in-laws.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Family Catholic Church in Sparta by Monsignor Terrence Stewart on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 11:00am. Family will meet visitors on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Hessel-Cheslek Funeral Home from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm, with reciting of the rosary at 7:30pm with Deacon Larry Hoogeboom. Family will also meet visitors at the church for 1 hour prior to the mass on Tuesday. Interment in Fairplains Cemetery, Sparta. The family would like to thank Emmanuel Hospice for the excellent care their mother received, especially Abby, Beth, Heidi, Sister Faustina and special caretaker, Sandy. Being Miss Margaret s home aid was the most amazing job. I learned so much from her. Im going to miss my talks we had and me trying to put curlers in her hair. She always looked beautiful once the curlers came out. She told me the more I practice the better I will get. We laughed every time. I had curls going every which way. Her cooking lessons were the best. I learned so much from her. I am going to miss her so much.
