Obituary For Mary Elizabeth Krum
Mary Elizabeth Krum, age 95, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the Cottages of Martin Lake near Fremont with her family by her side. She was born in Howell, Michigan on August 20, 1925 to Robert and Hazel (Gross) Martin. She married Roger Howard Krum on June 13, 1953 in Howell, Mi. and he preceded her in death in July of 2020, after 67 years of marriage. Mary received her nursing degree from University of Detroit Mercy and worked as a Director of Nursing. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Newaygo.
Mary is survived by her children, Pat (Debbie) Krum, Kevin Krum, Timothy (Kathy) Krum, Maureen Krum, Marie Krum and Mike (DJ) Krum; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Susan Chaffin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Hazel Martin and her husband, Roger Krum.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at 10:00AM at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Newaygo with Fr. Steven Geerling celebrant. Family will meet visitors for one hour prior to the mass beginning at 9:00AM. Mary will be laid to rest with her husband, Roger, in Holy Cross Cemetery, Grand Rapids. Those who wish to make a donation in memory of Mary may do so to the Cottages at Martin Lake Activities Fund.
