Obituary for Rev. Jay DeBoer
Rev. Jay DeBoer age 95 passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” Psalm 116:15. He was born November 4, 1924 to Louis and Minnie DeBoer in Webster, North Dakota. He pastored 5 churches during his ministry and he and his wife were the founders of David’s House Ministries. Dad’s heart’s desire was that all would personally know the Lord, that he loved and served. He was preceeded in death in January by his wife of 77 years, Lois; infant son, Phillip DeBoer; sister, Betty Geysbeek. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Robert (Roxanne) DeBoer, Jay C. (Diane) DeBoer, Donna (Alan) Harris, Ann (Lynn) Braford and David DeBoer; his grandchildren, Randy DeBoer, Daniel DeBoer, Bridgett Adams, Brett Giberson, Angela Sheare, Nathan DeBoer, Rachael Bacus, Sarah Buys, Jenniffer Prince and Matthew Braford; 29 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren; sister, Marie Doren; brothers, Lester DeBoer, Walter DeBoer; many nieces and nephews. Private graveside services were held at Pine Grove Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Terry Burlingame officiating.
