Obituary For Richard M Traxler

Richard Mike Traxler, age 87 of Sparta, went to his heavenly home and was reunited with his sons, Mike and Rich, on Sunday, March 7, 2021. He was born in Algoma Township on January 6, 1934 to Mike and Mildred Traxler. Dick was a lifelong resident of Sparta, leaving for a short time to proudly serve his country in the US Navy. He married Linda Cook in 1960, retired from working as an inspector at Keeler Brass in 1996, and was a member of Camp Lake Baptist Church.
Dick is survived by his wife of 61 years, Linda Traxler; children, Deb (Kem) Smith, Michelle (Jeff) Spruit, Ken Traxler and Burt Traxler; sister, Bonnie Pranger; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws. He was preceded in death by his sons, Mike and Rich, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Services for Dick will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Camp Lake Baptist Church, 12150 N. Division St. Sparta, Mi. 49345, officiated by Pastor Dennis Tyson. Family will meet visitors at the church beginning at 10:00AM until the time of the service.
