Obituary For RoseEllen Rybski

RoseEllen Rybski, age 88, of Grant, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2020 at Meadowlark Retirement Village in Sparta. She was born February 5, 1932 in Honor, Michigan to Ben and Laura Hulsebus. She married Jerome Jerold Rybski Sr. on November 13, 1953 in Comstock, Michigan. She was employed as a Bookkeeper at A&P Grocery Store and Reagan’s Pharmacy, in Grand Rapids for many years. Reading and spending time in her garden at her home on Muskegon River in Grant were things she loved. RoseEllen volunteered to read books to elementary students at Fremont Public Schools. She was a bird enthusiast whom the grandchildren referred to as "Grandma Goose". She loved her family and friends who were always greeted with her smile. Usually a good home cooked meal was involved with your visit.
RoseEllen was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome on January 7, 1997. She is survived by her sons, Jerome Jr. and Carmelita Rybski, Jon and Catherine Rybski; stepdaughters, Terri and Douglas Verburg, Karen and Wesley Haney, Sharon Zimmerman and Phil Waldorf; grandchildren, Jerome III and Tara Rybski, Matt and Dana Rybski, Brett Rybski, Kristin Rybski and Brendan McRae; 3 great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. As RoseEllen had wished, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned at this time. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
