Obituary For Thomas Robert Zahm
Thomas Robert Zahm, age 72 of Howard City and formerly of Sparta, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021 after a brief illness.
Tom was born on July 5, 1949 to Clarence and Beatrice (Finkler) Zahm in Alpine Township, Michigan. Tom graduated from Sparta High School in 1967 was the Manager for Standard Lumber in Sparta for over 30 years retiring in 2006.
Tom is survived by his wife of 49 years, Diane (Haisma) Zahm; his daughter, Sarah (Matt) Pant; his grandsons, Connor Shippy and Hudson Pant; his brother, Ben Zahm; his sisters, Lollie Norton and Jean (Dave) Woycik; his father-in-law, Don Haisma; his sister-in-law, Debi (Doug) Warren; his brother-in-law, Dale Haisma; and several nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Beatrice Zahm; his sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Jim Harmon; his sister-in-law, Joyce Zahm; and his mother-in-law, Betty Haisma.
A private graveside service was held at Rosedale Memorial Park with Tom’s pastor, Pastor Richard Townes of Bethel Lutheran Church of Howard City, officiating.
In Tom’s memory, memorial donations may be given to Bethel Lutheran Church of Howard City or the charity of one’s choice.

Rest in peace Uncle Tom. I will always remember all the hoilday get togethers over the years, especially when I was young. So many great memories that will never be forgotten. Picking apples at your house and veggies in your garden. I love you and you will be so missed. Love Tanya (Tan)❤
